Summer Home Remedies To Treat Sun Tan

Sun tanning or skin darkening has become a common problem in summer. Tanning is caused due to over exposure of the ultra violet rays (cancer causing radiations) from the sun. Although there many de-tanning treatments and cosmetics that are often marketed by beauticians at salons, it is always best to get natural. Take a look at some of the simple home remedies that can be of great use to get rid of tan irrespective of skin types.

Fruit acids are good cleansing agents but may not be suitable for all skin types and that is the very reason why we have a few home remedies without citrus fruits or juice as the ingredient to de-tan skin.

For sensitive skin, crush fresh Jasmine flowers with curds and sugar and cleanse the sun tanned skin with the paste.

Mash the papaya pulp and massage the sun tanned area.

Rinse skin everyday with coconut water

Combine ash gourd juice with multan mitti and apply all over the face.

You can also use besan (gram flour) with rose water and apply it like a face pack.

For dry skin, mix fresh cream with kasturi turmeric powder and massage well.

For oily skin, mix sandalwood paste with milk and little turmeric and apply it on the sun tanned skin.

For eyes, grind coriander leaves paste and apply it all over the eye lid, for tanned lips mix honey with butter and spread on the affected area.

Apart from the above, there are many more home remedies which are quite effective and show quick results like tomato juice with multan mitti and Orange peel dried, powdered and mixed with milk and honey.
