Vrat
Katha
Legend
has
it
that
there
was
a
majestic
king
who
had
a
son
and
a
daughter-in-law.
One
day,
secretly,
his
daughter-in-law
ate
sweets
and
named
her
a
rat.
Due
to
this,
the
rat
got
very
angry.
He
decided
in
his
mind
that
he
will
bring
the
thief
in
front
of
the
king.
One
day
some
guests
had
come
to
the
king's
place.
All
the
guests
were
sleeping
in
the
king's
room.
The
rat
was
burning
in
the
fire
of
revenge
took
the
queen's
saree
and
kept
it
in
that
room.
The
next
day,
when
guests
woke
up
in
the
morning
and
they
saw
the
queen's
cloth,
they
were
surprised.
When
the
king
came
to
know
about
this,
he
expelled
his
daughter-in-law
from
the
palace.
The
queen
used
to
light
a
lamp
every
evening
and
work
to
grow
Jowar.
She
used
to
distribute
Gudhani
prasad
while
worshipping
daily.
One day when the king was leaving that way, his eyes fell on those lamps. Returning to the palace, the king sent the soldiers to the forest and asked them to see what a miraculous thing there was - the soldiers went under that peepal tree in the forest. He saw there that the lamps were talking among themselves.
Everyone was telling their own story. That's why everyone asked a quiet lamp that you also tell your story. The lamp told that it is the lamp of the queen. He further told that because of stealing the queen's sweets, the mouse kept the queen's saree in the guest room and the innocent queen was punished. The soldiers came to the palace and told all this conversation to the king, after which the king forgave the queen and called her back to the palace.
