How to Please Lord Shiva in Sawan Month
Sawan month is considered to be the most auspicious month for Lord Shiva devotees. It is believed that performing various rituals during this month pleases Lord Shiva and brings prosperity in life. This article will discuss some of the rituals to please Lord Shiva in Sawan month.

Chanting of Mantras
Chanting of mantras dedicated to Lord Shiva is one of the most important ritual during Sawan Month. The devotees chant 'Om Namah Shivaya’ mantra 108 times a day or recite Rudrashtakam Stotram, Shiv Tandav Stotram, Mahamrityunjaya Mantra and other mantras dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Fast on Mondays
Devotees observe fast on all Mondays during Sawan Month as it is believed that it pleases Lord Shiva. During the fast, devotees are not allowed to eat grains or pulses and can only have fruits, milk and water throughout the day.
Offering Milk To Lingam
Offering milk to lingam is another important ritual during Sawan Month. Devotees offer milk with bael leaves or belpatra (wood apple leaves) on shivlinga daily as it believed that it pleases lord shiva.

Shravan Somvar Vrat Katha
Devotees also listen Shravan Somvar Vrat Katha which tells about how a poor Brahmin pleased lord shiva by his devotion and dedication towards him. This katha can be heard from any local pandit who performs puja at home.
