Pitru Paksha 2023: Know The Correct Way To Offer Water To Your Ancestors
Pitru Paksha 2023: This is a 16-day period dedicated to paying homage to deceased ancestors by family members and seeking their blessings for their well-being and prosperity. This day is also known as Mahalaya Paksha. There is a belief that the souls of the ancestors reside in Pitrulok and therefore, honoring them and making them happy.
Commonly known as Shradh Paksha, it lasts from the full moon of Bhadrapada month to the new moon day of Ashwin month. This year Pitru Paksha is starting on Friday, 29 September 2023 and it will continue till Saturday, 14 October 2023. Know what is the best and correct way to offer water to your ancestors.

During Pitru Paksha many rituals such as Tarpan, Pind Daan, and Shraddha are followed as it is believed that ancestors visit Earth from the other world to meet and see their family members. While shraddh is performed, one needs to take care of special things, especially while offering water to ancestors.
