Navratri 2023 Day 7: Maa Kalratri Puja Vidhi, Vrat Katha, Mantra, Bhog And Aarti, All You Need To Know
Navratri 2023 Day 7: Shardiya Navratri has started and devotees are elated to worship Goddess Durga who is the embodiment of Shakti and feminine energy, with full rituals. Not only the Durga idols are installed but, devotees pray, worship, and keep fast for the goddess to get the choicest of blessings.
On the seventh day of Navratri, Goddess Kalratri is worshiped. This year, Navratri has started on 15 October 2023, therefore, the seventh day will be on 21 October 2023 and it is dedicated to Goddess Kalratri, according to Panchang.

All the days of Navratri have their own significance. Different forms of Goddess Durga are worshiped every day. However, the 7th day is dedicated to the Kalratri a form of Maa Durga, which is her ferocious form.
The iconography of Kalratri or Maa Kali is shown either in dark blue or black, and it is said that she destroys enemies of her devotees. Maa Kalratri has four hands, with the upper right hand she blesses her devotees. She blesses Abhay with her lower hand. The left hand is holding a sword. Maa Kalratri's long hair is black and open, which keeps waving like the wind. She rides a donkey.

According
to
the
mythological
stories,
the
gods
and
goddesses
along
with
the
common
people
were
very
troubled
due
to
the
wrath
of
the
demon
named
Raktabeej.
The
specialty
of
this
demon
was
that
as
soon
as
a
single
drop
of
his
blood
fell
on
the
earth,
another
demon
like
him
was
born.
Troubled
by
the
wrath
of
this
demon,
all
the
gods
and
goddesses
went
to
Lord
Shiva
for
help.
Lord
Shiva
knew
that
only
Mata
Parvati
could
destroy
this
demon.
After
which,
on
the
request
of
Lord
Shiva,
Mata
Parvati
herself
created
Mata
Kalratri
with
her
power
and
brilliance.
After
this,
when
Mata
Durga
killed
Raktabeej,
Mata
Kalratri
drank
the
blood
coming
out
of
his
body
before
it
fell
on
the
ground.
For
this
reason,
this
form
of
Mata
was
named
Kalratri.
