Mauni Amavasya 2024: Amavasya date has great importance in Hindu religious culture. According to the scriptures, Maghi Amavasya is also called Mauni Amavasya. This year's Mauni Amavasya will be celebrated on 9 February. On Mauni Amavasya, people please their clan and ancestral deities. happen

6
pm
on

day

Mauni
Amavasya,
i.e.

9th
February.
Due

days

winter,

gets
dark
early,
hence
light

lamp
as
soon
as
it
is
evening.

Disha
lamp
for

ancestors
under

Peepal
tree

the
south

beautiful
clay
lamps
from
the
potter
and
clean
them
by
immersing
them
in
pure
water.
In
the
evening,
put
a
cotton
flower
in
a
lamp
filled
with
mustard
oil
and
light
the
lamp
by
praising
Lord
Vishnu
and
remembering
your
ancestors.
And after circumambulating the Peepal tree, tell your Pitru Dev that "O Pitru Dev, the lamp has been lit to ensure your safe return to heaven, just as this lamp has illuminated the path to your heaven, in the same way, the path of our life has been lit." Bless even the darkness with light."
