Holi 2024: Auspicious Items That You Can Bring Home During Holi And Get Blessings Of Goddess Lakshmi
Holi, the festival of colors, is not just a celebration of spring and the triumph of good over evil; it is also a time to seek blessings from the goddess Lakshmi, the Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity, and fortune.
Many people believe that by performing certain rituals and bringing home auspicious items during Holi, they can attract the blessings of goddess Lakshmi and invite prosperity into their lives.

Goddess Lakshmi is one of the most revered deities in Hindu mythology, symbolizing wealth, prosperity, and fortune. She is believed to bless her devotees with material and spiritual abundance.
This year Holi will be observed on 25 March 2024. Here are some auspicious items that you can bring home during Holi to seek blessings from goddess Lakshmi.
1. Idols or Images of Goddess Lakshmi: Bringing home idols or images of goddess Lakshmi during Holi is considered highly auspicious. These can be placed in the puja room or a prominent place in the house and worshipped with devotion.
2. Lotus Flowers: The lotus is a symbol of purity, beauty, and prosperity, and is believed to be a favorite of goddess Lakshmi. Bringing home lotus flowers during Holi and offering them to the goddess is believed to attract her blessings.

5. Ghee: Ghee, or clarified butter, is considered a symbol of prosperity and abundance. Bringing home ghee during Holi and offering it to the goddess is believed to bring wealth and prosperity.
6. Toran (Door Hanging): In Hinduism, toran, or door hangings symbolize warm welcome and are considered very auspicious. They are believed to keep negative energy at bay and invite positive energy on all occasions or festivals in the house. Therefore, you can hang it from Holasthak to Holi.
7. Bamboo Plant: This plant is considered extremely auspicious according to Vastu Shastra and is believed to cleanse energy. Therefore, you must bring this tree or sapling to your home before Holi arrives. This is also said to invite prosperity in the house.
8. Tortoise: You can bring home a metal tortoise on Holi as it is considered extremely sacred and auspicious. However, you need to also check whether Sriyantra or Kubera Yantra is written on the back of the tortoise for auspiciousness. You can also place this one on your puja altar as it is said to attract the blessings of Goddess Lakshmi into one's home.
Bringing home auspicious items during Holi and performing rituals to seek blessings from goddess Lakshmi is a deeply ingrained tradition in many Indian households. By following these traditions and invoking the blessings of goddess Lakshmi, people hope to invite wealth, prosperity, and fortune into their lives during the auspicious festival of Holi.
