Sri Maha Lakshmi Stotram For Akshaya Tritiya
Know the essence of the Sri Maha Lakshmi stotram that you must chant on the Akshaya Tritiya day. Here are details of the complete stotram and its meaning.
As we know, Akshaya Tritiya is almost upon us. It is celebrated on the third day of the Shukla Paksha in the month of Vishakha. It is the most auspicious day as per the lunar-solar calendar that most of the Hindus follow.
It is a general belief in India that "all that starts well, ends well too". Beginnings are very important for the Hindus in the Indian sub-continent and all over the world. This is the reason why the New Year, both Gregorian and regional, holds so much value in the Indian culture.
Similarly, Akshaya Tritiya is another day when people get an opportunity to start new things. Akshaya Tritiya is considered to be a very auspicious day. In fact, it is so auspicious that you do not even need to check good muhurats or the bad times of the day.
People start new ventures, new businesses are started, people get married and the Bengalis consider this day as the day of starting new accounts.
It is also believed that any good thing or 'Karma' done on this day will reap tenfold benefit. The benefits reaped today will never be destroyed and will only increase as the time passes.
Akshaya Tritiya is a popular day to conduct poojas and havans, as the result from these religious acts will last forever.
Goddess Lakshmi is commonly prayed to on the day of Akshaya Tritiya. As the Goddess of wealth, Goddess Lakshmi bestows prosperity and wealth upon her devotees. It is especially beneficial to worship Goddess Lakshmi on the Akshaya Tritiya day.
It is said that Lord Kubera, the treasurer of the Heavens, received this position only by worshipping Goddess Lakshmi on the Akshaya Tritiya day. The Goddess also blessed him, with everlasting and infinite wealth. Why not pray to Goddess Lakshmi this year on the Akshaya Tritiya day for prosperity and financial gain?
Given below is a hymn or stotra that the Goddess is very fond of. Chant the Sri Maha Lakshmi Stotra to please the Goddess and earn her blessings. You may also continue to chant this Stotra every day at least once and you will never again suffer from the want of money.
