Is Your Spouse Watching?

In a survey, every fifth spouse has confessed on spying on their partner's emails or text messages.
Researchers from the London School of Economics, University of Oxford and Nottingham Trent University quizzed nearly 1,000 UK couples and found that one in every fifth married couple doubts on their partner.
Checking e-mails, mobile inbox, call history and browser history of the partner's computer is the outcome of this suspicion.
The study, entitled 'Netiquette within married couples' showed eight per cent of men and 14 per cent of women had read their spouses emails and seven per cent of men and 13 per cent of women said that they had done the same with text messages.
The findings showed that there are surprisingly high levels of surveillance. It was also noted that the level of surveillance was higher in case of the wives. They kept a close check on their husbands, than vice versa.
This fact that women keep a check on their husband's browser history contradicts that women are technologically less skilled than men. It seems that they are able to overcome these barriers when they feel their relationship is at stake.
