Online Chatting
Are you still chatting with your ex, online? Beware, for such camaraderie between former lovers is like playing with fire as they can take a toll on your current and future relationships, says the experts. Being in an online relationship with the ex-lover, always has hidden pitfalls.

The online social networks are becoming more and more integrated in to our real lives. The formal partners are more of a problem than ever, because of the networking sites like Facebook.

The Clinical psychologist Sally Anne McCormack explains the reason for the dangers behind the online relationships with the ex. "The reason it may not work is because, while one of the partners is happy to stay friends, the other one may have hope that the relationship will be renewed at some stage in the future," says McCormack.

"Staying friends with an ex can work for some, but there needs to be some caution for both parties. If staying friends is preventing someone from moving on, then it is not healthy," she adds.

The single people who have their ex as a friend, do not have much problems but when one begins a new relationship, it is a must to tread carefully. It is good to consider the frequency of the contacts with the ex, the type of intimate details exchanged and the types of photos shared. It is better to set some clear boundaries with the ex and put the new partner first, at all times.

The extra marital affairs are a crucial factor for the break ups, these days. As we said in the earlier article 'The Unstable Marriages', the ex-lover might be cursing the day you had met. There is a chance for him or her, to take a revenge by trying to break the new relationship.

So think about all the aspects and if you want shutting down the social networking with the ex, get it done as quickly as possible and make the new partner feel important, says the relationship experts.
