Meetha Cheela Recipe
Meetha cheela is a famous North Indian sweet that is prepared during vrats and is also a good breakfast meal. It appear like a dosa or a pancake. Here is a detailed procedure with images and a video.
Cheela is also called the dosa of North India because of its look and texture. However, it tastes different from the regular dosa. There are different varieties of cheela, both sweet and savoury. Here, we are preparing the sweet cheela.
Meetha cheela or sweet cheela is a popular sweet that is prepared across the Northern region of country. The wheat flour pancake appears like a dosa and its main ingredients are atta, sugar and milk.
The atte ka meetha cheela is an ideal breakfast to make on a busy and rushed morning. It is generally eaten plain or also goes well with honey.

MEETHA CHEELA VIDEO RECIPE

Serves: 6 pieces

Atta (wheat flour) - 1 cup
Chilled milk - 1¼th cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Cardamom powder - 1 tsp
Ghee - ½ cup

1. Add atta into a bowl.
2. Add thee-quarter cup of chilled milk in the bowl.
3. Further, add sugar and cardamom powder.
4. Whisk it.
5. Add the remaining milk little by little and whisk it into a smooth batter of pouring consistency.
6. Then, heat a flat pan.
7. Take a ladle full of the batter and pour it on to the pan, making circles and spreading it like a dosa.
8. Once you see the pores forming on top, add half a tablespoon of ghee.
9. Spread the ghee by rotating the pan gently.
10. Allow it to cook for about 30 seconds on a medium flame.
11. Carefully flip it over and allow it to cook on the other side.
12. Once it turns light brown in colour, remove it off the pan and serve hot.
- 1. The milk makes it rich; you can use water if you prefer it not to be too rich.
- 2. The batter must be of pouring consistency like the dosa batter.
- 3. When the batter is spread on the pan, it must be thick like a pancake, and not too thin.
- 4. You can add jaggery instead of sugar.

STEP BY STEP - HOW TO MAKE MEETHA CHEELA
1. Add atta into a bowl.
