Delectable Low Fat Dahi Chicken Recipe

This meat contains less amount of fat and thus is the best to consume if you are trying hard to lose those calories. This low-fat dahi chicken recipe, which Boldsky has shared with you is easy to prepare and has one of the tastiest ingredients too - yogurt!
More than a handful of Indians are concerned with what they eat. This low-fat chicken Indian recipe also contains a mixture of spices to add more taste to your buds. So, what are you waiting for? Take a look at this delectable low-fat dahi chicken recipe for lunch.

Chicken (boneless) - 1/2 kg
Yogurt - 2 and 1/2 cup
Jeera powder - 1 tsp
Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric - 1/4th tsp
Garam masala - 1/4th tsp
Green chillies - 2 (slit)
Onions - 2 (chopped)
Tomatoes - 2 (chopped)
Coriander - garnishing
Oil - 2 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp

1. In the yogurt bowl, mix in the cumin powder, garlic paste, garam masala, haldi and red chilli powder.
2. Mix all of these ingredients well, using your hands.
3. When this is done, add the boneless pieces of chicken to the bowl.
4. Now, mix the chicken well, so that the masala gets into the chicken. Add in the slit chillies. When done, keep it aside for 15 minutes.
5. After the said time period, take a pan. Heat oil in the pan and wait for it to turn hot.
6. Over the medium flame, when the oil is hot enough, add in the chopped onions and fry them until they are translucent and soft.
7. Add in the tomatoes to the onions and stir well.
8. Over a low flame, allow these ingredients to cook. To this, add in the marinade chicken and give it a light stir.
9. Allow it to cook, till the gravy reaches the consistency you prefer. When almost done, drop in the yogurt to the dish.
10. Give it a good stir and wait for the curd to curdle in the gravy. Add in a little more of salt if needed.
11. After it is well cooked, garnish with some coriander leaves and enjoy.
- If you do not find low-fat yogurt, you can add the regular homemade curd.
