For people in love:

Many parents go fuming when they learn that their child is in love. Some of the specific reasons for their reactions are:

• If you have chosen a partner from other caste or religion or state, then they fear that their beliefs are desolated. Or they fear the society. Or they cannot accept the fact their children can just walk away all the teachings that they received from their infancy.
• They want you to knot the tie with a person of their choice
• They think the one you have chosen is nothing but a sure destiny to destruction
• They must have simply misunderstood everything about both of you.

So, what next? Should you run and go, since your parents don't understand your feeling. No, that would be the last step. First get it implanted in your mind that Love is not a sin just an expression that you want to share with a single person for your entire life. Tell your parents that you are serious and would like to lead a life with this person who is just made for you. If they show their unbelief or disrespect accept it, as it is normal for them to react. Wait patiently for them to respond positively.

Your parents have loved you all through your life. They might have awakened all night to just to see you sleep calmly. They might have even got early to be the first one to kiss you good morning. They might have knelt down in prayer every time you cried with pain. They love you and surely will understand your love too. However if they are fierce and lock you out of the world then find out the reason why they don't want you two to be one. May be your sweetheart is a cheat and your parents sensed it. If you think he/she is not then prove it. Do not take a drastic move until you think elopement s the only door for reunion.

For parents

Your children fall in love because of three reasons,

• They search for love beyond their family boundary when they don't get it at home.
• They are fascinated by love when they see it in movies and want to try them themselves. You can call it puppy love.
• They are actually in love. A pure attraction of love and understanding.

The first rule for the parents is not to get angry, as this is not going to solve your problem. Tackle the situation with love. Show them that you love him/her more than his/her sweetheart.

Talk to them calmly and find out how did it all happen. Listen to your child's love story. If you think it is puppy love and not true love; then make them understand the difference. If you think that your child is in love, which is a crook, then prove it to them by action and not by words (as they will not listen to your mere words). However, if the person is just perfect then realize the fact that she/ he has lessened your burden and it is time for marriage ceremonies.

Do not judge their relationship as sin. Ask yourself have you never been in love before marriage? If you don't want your child to drench herself/himself in tear for their whole life then unite their hearts. You have fulfilled all their desires, then why are you embracing yourself with all that odds. Make sure your child is in love with the right person who will bridge two families and not just two hearts.
