The relationships and the study of these relationships are strange and bizarre. It is very difficult to understand the relationship between two people - A complicated as well as a very interesting field for study. The more you learn the more there is to be discovered. The relationship between the mother and the child and the father and the child are seemingly crystal clear. Hence, many of us might believe that the bond between the mother and the child and the father and the child are simple and needs no special analysis. However, this has been proved wrong on the grounds that they also have some complicated issues attached to it.

Well-known psychologist debasmita chanda, electra complex, greek, oedipus complex, relationship, sigmund freud, teenager had said that there is a special side to the relationship between the mother and the child and the father and the child. To be more specific, the study is about the relationship between the mother and the son and the father and the daughter. There is a common theory that an attraction automatically develops from one sex to the opposite sex. A child gets along best with his/her mother/father before he develops any connection with others around him.

The instinct is always there. So for this reason the son is attached to his opposite sex.... that is his mother. In the same manner, a daughter is likely to get attracted to her father. This feeling is quite simple; however it can sometimes get very complex and can then become a source of great concern.

The Electra complex is an ambiguous psychiatric concept, which attempts to explain the maturation of human female. It is said to be the female counterpart to the Oedipus complex in males. Its name springs from the Greek myth of Electra, who wanted her brother to avenge their father Agamemnon's death by killing their mother Clytemnestra. So the concept and the naming of the theory came from the Greek mythological name Electra. It can be defined as -
Erotic attachment of a child for the parent of the opposite sex.
Hostile or jealous feeling toward the parent of the same sex.
This might be a source of adult personality disorder when unresolved.
Psychoanalysis - uncovering repression of the suppressed conflict in order to avoid the resulting anxiety.
