The Driving Force Behind Her Dual Ventures

Sherlin's entrepreneurial journey began with her involvement in Shaun Naturals, her father's business that specializes in herbal beauty products. She played a pivotal role in expanding the Delhi-based company to Bangalore in 2012, ensuring that Indian consumers could access high-quality, export-standard beauty products. However, her passion for fashion led her to launch Angelic Weaves nine months ago.

"I was always interested in fashion and beauty from a very young age," she shares. "Opening a herbal cosmetic outlet in Bangalore was a catalyst to my dreams because here I had my father's guidance and a strong customer base from where I had to start. Angelic Weaves was a long-pending dream, and finally, last year by God's grace, I could make this dream come true."

Beauty That Empowers

Sherlin believes that beauty products should not just enhance appearance but also boost confidence. With Shaun Naturals, her goal was to create high-quality, affordable products accessible to everyone.

"For me, every woman is beautiful in their own skin. What cosmetics do is help them enhance and improve the texture of their skin and hair, thereby boosting the shine and also building their confidence and morale," she explains. "I believe inner beauty is as important as outer beauty. A woman who loves herself and takes care of herself will shine and radiate her good vibes wherever she goes."

The Birth Of Angelic Weaves

Sherlin's love for fashion was not just about personal style but also about empowering others to feel beautiful and confident.

"I was always keen on opening my own boutique because I loved wearing beautiful dresses, and people used to compliment me for the kind of fabrics and colors I wore," she recalls. "I used to go the extra mile to put together the whole look because it gave me a sense of confidence and pride."

Though she dreamed of launching Angelic Weaves much earlier, circumstances delayed her plans. However, persistence paid off, and today, her boutique is flourishing. "We are still learning, working, updating, and growing in our new venture. I love to adorn my angels in the most beautiful outfits and unleash the diva in them," she says enthusiastically.

Challenges In The Fashion Industry

Running an online boutique may seem glamorous, but it comes with its fair share of challenges. Sherlin highlights the intense competition in the industry and the rapid changes in fashion trends.

"The biggest challenge is to keep ourselves constantly updated with the changing styles, trends, and tastes of people," she points out. "Another challenge is winning the goodwill of people, especially in the online space, as frauds and scams are common."

However, her solution is simple-dedication, hard work, and persistence. "Every challenge can be overcome if you are ready to sow the seeds of hard work and never give up. One day, your work will speak for itself, and you will reap the fruits of success."

The Secret To Work-Life Balance

For many women, balancing personal and professional life is a struggle, but Sherlin has found her rhythm.

"I have set up boundaries between work and personal time. I prioritize tasks every morning to ensure smooth functioning," she shares. "I also make sure to attend my workout sessions regularly because a healthy mind and body are essential."

She credits her supportive family for making it easier to pursue her dreams while maintaining a fulfilling personal life. "As we say, behind every successful woman is always a progressive man," she adds with a smile.

Advice to Aspiring Women Entrepreneurs

Sherlin is a firm believer in women's ability to lead and make an impact. She actively encourages women to step into the entrepreneurial world.

"My message to every aspiring woman is - Listen to your heart, and if you have the will, go for it. Let nothing stop you. Start from the ground level and build it block by block," she advises.

She emphasizes the importance of patience and resilience. "Take calculated risks and always learn from setbacks. Our country needs more people in the product and service industry, so go out and make a difference."

"I have taken the good from every female whom I have met or seen in my life-be it my mother, my dearest friend Asha, Indira Nooyi, Princess Diana, Nooha Sajeev from Iha Designs, Anila Joseph, and Parul Garg from the beauty industry. Each woman has played a role in leaving an imprint in my heart and mind."
