We all remember how few years back, a tea seller from Pakistan took to fame due to his killer looks and became an internet sensation. Not only he had secured a modelling contract, but was reportedly offered a film too.

But, this latest Chaiwala from Karnataka, India has grabbed people's attention on social media, not because of his looks but because of his unique business strategy, because to make a business thrive you need more skills than just selling tea.

Meet 23-year-old Syed Khadar Basha of Ballari who came up with a brilliant plan at his tea shop, i.e., to give free Internet to his customers for 30 minutes for just Rs 5 a cup, and people loved it the scheme is a hit.

You don't need the hassle of asking your friend to switch on their hotspot while sipping your tea, Basha has got it covered for you as he provides unlimited internet for half an hour for a cup of 5 to keep his customers engaged.

The formula is quite simple. All you need to do is buy a cup of tea and he will hand over a coupon with the Wi-Fi password to his customer which is valid for the next half an hour. According to a report published in TOI, his sales have zoomed by 4 times since this scheme which he had started in September 2023 and he is now witnessing increased queues and footfalls at his shop.

Basha has studied till class 10, but his strategy to take his business higher is surely an MBA-level strategy, and it is now attracting customers, mostly college students in the remote town of Siruguppa.

Not just Karnataka, but tea vendors and paan walas in and around Delhi have also gone viral for their unique business ideas. To avoid the traditional method of the daily credit system and keep the monthly dues under check, they too have opted for digital wallets to end their woes. These humble vendors are now running their shops like a boss and winning hearts too on internet.
