This Happens In A Tribe In Northern Tanzania’s Nyamongo
Women from the Kuria tribe in Northern Tanzania's Nyamongo village generally marry each other here.

A Local Tradition...
They marry each other under a local tradition known as "Nyumba Ntobhu", which means "house of the women". These married women raise children that are born out of their earlier marriages with men. They have unions with men only to bear children.

They Stay Like Married Couples…
They stay like a regular married couple, but they do not have sex, as they are straight and probably because they are unaware of the concept of being gay or existence of such things!

The Younger Wives Have A Choice…
The younger wives have a choice to choose their male partners. This is to give birth to their heirs. The men relinquish the parental rights over their children, after which the female couples raise the kids.

But What Is The Reason That They Marry Each Other?
The actual aim of this tradition is to enable the women of this tribe to keep their property. Women who do not have sons and are widowed, have no right to keep their property. Hence, marrying another women allows them to have their property! Quite bizarre, eh?
