A new Facebook safety feature,'trusted friend' has been introduced and unveiled at a White House anti-bullying conference. This new safety feature of Facebook 'trusted friend' allows a Facebook user to report on being a victim of harassment to other friends, teachers, parents and even the police.

Richard Allen, Facebook director of European policy, has also expressed that the creation of 'trusted friend' safety feature on Facebook seemed to be the best way to answer back to all the bullies and to stop users of Facebook for being harassed. He also said, “If someone calls you names, it might not be appropriate to go directly to the police." In such a situation, Facebook anti-bullying safety feature 'trusted friend' is the best solution to stop the bullies. The user can also contact the police in case of serious issues.

With the new anti-bullying Facebook safety feature 'trusted friend', an user can block the person who is harassing him and can send a notification to the concerned person. On the presenting this feature, Facebook also promised that they will make further changes in the same to make it more user friendly, like, simplifying the language, adding more multimedia material etc. Facebook is trying to make the website perfectly safe for it's users. Each one of the Facebook users should be assured of complete privacy and safety.
