'Glimpses of a Governor' presented to Dr Jamir
Outgoing Goa Governor S C Jamir was presented with a book "Glimpses of a Governor", published by Dr Jose de Sousa, former manager of Bank of Baroda and correspondent of "Correio de Leiria", Portugal.
The 130-page book is a detailed compilation of reports about Dr Jamir, published in the local English dailies during the four years of his office in Goa from July 2004.
The publication carries messages of the Chief Minister Digambar Kamat, Francisco Sardinha, MP, former Industries Minister Luizinho Faleiro and a prologue "An Revoir Excellency" by former Union Minister for Law and Justice Ramakant Khalap.
The book was presented to Dr Jamir at Raj Bhavan in presence of Khalap, Aurobindo Xavier, Prof of University of Lisbon and Ms Margaret Xavier of Cultural bridge Goa - Europe
It might be recalled that Dr Jamir has been posted to Maharashtra till the rest of his term.
