There are many haunted places in India. Every nook and corner of the country has some or the other deep hidden secrets. If you think that North India is the only place flooded with haunted places then you are wrong. There is a common myth that palaces and forts are haunted and majority of palaces and forts are in the north especially Rajasthan, Punjab and UP.

Thus, people in the South do not worry about it at all. Well, let me tell you that haunted places are not just palaces and forts. Even forests, houses and hotels are haunted! For example, haunted places in South India includes the famous Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad! Yes, you read it right. Hotels in Ramoji Film City are considered haunted due to various witnesses and stories. Even Golkonda fort in Hyderabad is said to be haunted. Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad: The big film city of Andhra Pradesh which is known as the world's largest integrated film studio complex covering 6.42 square kilometers. Ramoji Film City which has an amusement park and is a popular tourist destination. At the entrance, there are two hotels that are considered to be haunted. Bathroom door knocking, strange writings in Urdu on the mirrors, leftover food scattered over the floor of rooms etc have been witnessed. Even paranormal activities while shooting has been reported.

Sathyamangalam Wildlife Sanctuary, Tamil Nadu: The biggest wildlife sanctuary of Tamil Nadu which is also said to be the forth tiger reserve in the state is named haunted! After Indian bandit, Veerapan was killed in 2004, there were paranormal sightings and events which has scared people. Unattended lanterns which sometimes flied high in the air, ghost sightings on the highway road etc were spotted which has made the wildlife sanctuary haunted!

Golconda Fort, Hyderabad: Strange screaming sounds, shadows and even dancing courtesan-turnedqueen, Taramati have also been spotted. It is said that you must not visit this haunted place of South India after dark.

St. Marks Road, Bangalore: This is another haunted place in South India. There are mixed views about this haunted house. Few seem to have seen paranormal activities while other visitors have had a simple experience with no haunted activities!
