Top 5 Cocktails For Men
Cocktails are not just for society ladies who sip daintily on crystal glasses. The top most cocktails can also pack a punch and they are for drinkers who 'dry hard'. Cocktails for men are quite an old concept as many men of station and power have enjoyed these mixed alcohol drinks. Starting from USA presidents to the top Hollywood stars, they have all called for one or more for the popular cocktails mentioned below.

Cocktails
For
Men:
1. Dry Martini: Let us begin with the most controversial cocktail in history. Everybody has an opinion on what a perfect martini should be. Be it the garnishing, the mixing process (shaking) or the constitution itself, you can say this is the most argued upon drink in the world. This top cocktail owes it popularity to the many famous men like Winston Churchill, Theodore Roosevelt, etc. who thrived on them. It is basically 3 portions of gin mixed with 1 portion of dry vermouth liqueur garnished with the green olive that has come to represent cocktails on the whole. There are many variations like vodka in place of gin, scotch in place of vermouth but this is the standard recipe.
2. Tom Collins: Again a gin cocktail but this time for the hot summers. Made by mixing 3 portions of gin and a special sugar syrup called Simple syrup. Simple syrup is nothing but a syrup made from boiling equal amounts of sugar and water together. This cocktail is made keeping in mind the dehydrating condition of summer so you have to stuff it with ice and add a dash of soda for the fizz.
3. The Side Car: This is a popular french cocktail that is made out of 2 types of liqueur. You will not be surprised that both are obviously Francois. This cocktail is made by mixing equal portions of Cognac, Cointreau and lemon juice in France. Elsewhere, for those who prefer less sweet, 3 parts of cognac is added for 1 part of cointreau.
4. The Manhattan: As the name suggests it is a cocktail for 'men.' The composition of this cocktail is diametrically opposite to that of martini. It is made by mixing 3 parts of Rye whisky with 1 part of sweet vermouth. A hint of Angostura may be added for that bitter under-taste it is famous for.
5. Blue Lagoon: Most people take this popular drink for the visual appeal of the striking clear blue colour if not for the edgy citrus taste. Do not think that is not manly enough for you; if it attracts women then it is good enough. A mix of dry gin, vodka and blue curacao in a 4:1:1 proportion laced with lime juice.
Get high on these top cocktails and impress the ladies with your choice.
