This temporary closure is part of the preparations for the safe and smooth conduct of Holi festivities across the city.
Meanwhile, Indian Railways is gearing up for the Holi rush by introducing 540 extra train services. These additional trains will connect several key destinations across India, catering to the increased travel demand during the festival.
Notable routes include Gorakhpur-Mumbai, Kolkata-Puri, and New Delhi-Sri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, among others. This strategic move by Indian Railways aims to accommodate the surge in passengers wishing to celebrate Holi with their loved ones in different parts of the country.
The announcement made by DMRC and the introduction of extra train services by Indian Railways reflects the importance of ensuring public convenience and safety during major festivals like Holi. Commuters are encouraged to plan their travel accordingly and maximize the services provided during this festive period.
