Shakira Breaks up With Boyfriend
Pop star Shakira has reportedly ended her 11 year old relationship with Argentinian boyfriend Antonio de la Rua. Their break up news was posted on Shakira's website saying that they actually split last August and had kept the news in private until now. The website read,
“during our almost 11 years together we have loved each other deeply, taken care of each other and stood by one another. They have been the most wonderful years of our lives, and thanks to that love and the respect that we share for one another we have been an exceptional couple and partners. We move forward as partners, developing projects together, working hand in hand and in close communication. Our friendship and understanding of one another is unwavering and indestructible."
According to Shakira and her boyfriend, the reason for their break up is because the couple have decided to take some time apart from their romantic relationship. Although de la Rua has had a break up with the 33-yr-old pop star, he will continue to look after Shakira's business and career interests.
Antonio De la Rua is the son of a former Argentinian president. The sources close to the couple have revealed that the couple are now together in Paris. In 2009, Shakira, in an interview, had expressed her desire to have children with boyfriend De La Rua.
