Penelope Cruz reportedly doesn't mind looking ugly in her movies. The Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides star says she isn't very keen on looking beautiful in her movies even if the character doesn't demand. Penelope Cruz, who has a five-month-old son, Leo, with husband Javier Bardem says that she asks to be made ugly to look natural and genuine while acting.
“I"m not scared to be ugly when I work, so I often ask for more mustache or black bags under my eyes," she said.
Speaking more about her acting, Penelope Cruz said that it not only the appearance but she even concentrates on the accent. The Spanish beauty said that she likes changing her accent to suit the role, anything where she has more scope to experiment.
“I love to spend hours with the dialogue coach because it creates a distance from myself. That way I don"t hear Penelope talking -– I don"t criticize myself so much and have more freedom to try things," she said.
“My grandmother was very gypsy in her spirit and she taught me to love words, especially poetry and flamenco and music and drama.", Penelope Cruz added.
