Oscar Nominations Luncheon And Celebrity Views

At the Oscar Nominations luncheon, the celebrities received their nomination certificate from Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Science president Tom Sherak. After the luncheon, celebrities stopped by the media to share their view.
Mark Ruffalo for whom it is the first Oscar nomination for his supporting role in the film 'The Kids Are All Right' is excited and says that the nomination it self is like a award to him. In the movie he acts as a sperm donor. "It's a huge honor. I probably have the least showy performance of the group, and so I'm a little surprised that I actually made the cut.But I'm also very, very grateful that I made the cut," said Mark Ruffalo.
The youngest Oscar nomination Hailee Steinfeld for supporting role True Grit, says, "To me, being cast in such an incredible film to me was a big enough award. So this is just incredible."
In the Oscar Nominations luncheon, Colin Firth, was unanimously voted to be the favourite among the contestants for best actor, for his role as Britain's King George. Firth has already won the Best Actor category at the Golden Globes and Screen Actors Guild Awards. "Obviously, it's elating, and I have a feeling that however this feels is going to percolate through the next six months or so. I'll probably punch the air in May at some point and crack open some champagne in September when it all sinks in," he said.
Contesting him is Jeff Bridge, nominated in the best actor category. He says, though Firth is the most like, he is enjoying himself. "It's the same advice that my mother gave me and my wife now gives me. And that advice is: remember, have fun and don't take it too seriously," he said.
The Oscar Nominations Luncheon was a sight of excitement, competition, nervousness but at the end of it all, it was a party of success for all the nominations. February 27th 2011, is the conclution day for all the 150 nominations.
