Black Eyed Pea Singer Wyclef Jean is going to take a drift from his musical career and is considering to run for president of his native Haiti.

said
that
the
talk
of
an
official
campaign
is
still
premature,
but
the
country''s
locals
had
"drafted" him
into
politics.
"I
can''t
sing
forever,"
Jean
was
quoted
as
saying.
He has already set foot and filled out the necessary paperwork in case he decided to move forward with a campaign as per records of the Canadian newspaper 'Le Droit'.
A statement that was released by his foundation, Yele Haiti, read: "Wyclef''s commitment to his homeland and its youth is boundless, and he will remain its greatest supporter regardless of whether he is part of the government moving forward. At this time, Wyclef Jean has not announced his intent to run for Haitian president. If and when a decision is made, media will be alerted immediately."

Preval,
has
reached
at
his
term
limits
and
therfore
he
cannot
run
a
third
time
as
'president.'
The
elections
will
be
held
on
the
28th
in
the
month
of
November.
Adding

his
