Gordon Brown's Expensive Affair

Gordon Brown
When the whole world is shrouded with the clouds of recession, rare do we find news', that just makes us feel, Is it real? Well, I say, it is not when it comes to the British Prime Minister, Gordon Brown.

Mr. Brown has been revealed to have spent 4.6million pounds flying round the world in private chartered aircraft over the last year at taxpayers' expense. Yes, you hear it right.

The aircraft supposedly has been used for summits and meetings with world leaders, according to documents released by Whitehall. Please don't ask me the authenticity of the report. It's all down in the papers.

And a small trivia: The other possible way to look at it, is the money that was spent by his counterpart, Tony Blair. Figures say, the travel fare, as reported by the Daily Express, is double the 2.3million pounds bill that Blair ran up in his final year in Downing Street.

Records say that many of Brown's 29 overseas trips ran into six figures, and a tour that took in New York, Brazil and Chile cost 743,341 pounds.
