Femella Fashions Launches Fall-Winter Collection 08-09

'Femella' in Spanish stands for the blossoming girl and the dresses showcased during the fashion show comprised classy clothes both for everyday wear as well as parties and cocktails - printed churidars, short skirts in silk prints, printed tunics worn with slacks which are actually a western variation of the Indian Churidar kurtas.
They further included clubwear in blacks and olives, traditional embroidered Indian suits in maroon and red, besides kimono tops and sherwanis.
What stood out included a stunning back open jacket in organza lined with thick cotton worn over slim cotton silk pants and an ultra chic velvet waistcoat sported with skin hugging jeans.
The clubwear was, however, disappointing with nothing new or breathtaking as it should have been.
Talking to UNI after the show, Kamna Saigal Seth said, ''We have used a lot of digital prints in silks, georgettes, organza and corduroy which is the highlight of this collection.'' The silhouettes are for all ages from 18 to 40 years, Ms Seth said about the USP of the collection. Everybody will find something for themselves here. And, so it was. Priced between Rs 500 and Rs 10,000, the dresses were evidently targeted at the common woman who can identify with some and can go beyond the usual norm with other brazen ones.
