New Delhi, Nov 7 (UNI) The Delhi-based Urdu Development Organisation today honoured 12 writers, social activists and journalists and a school in Jaipur ahead of the '' on Thursday.
The awardees include Suhail Anjum, Shakeel Akhtar, Salik Dhampuri, and Mohammed Aarif Iqbal (journalism), V Kumar (national integration), Mirza Habeeb Baig (social services) and Alok Sharma (literature).
Among the other winners are Bright Flowers Secondary School, Jaipur and Lokesh Kumar (Urdu poetry) and Dr Gyanesh Haldia (Unani medicine), said Dr Syed Ahmed Khan, convenor of the Organising Committee.
The committee also announced awards for Saroj Khan, Rashidullah Khan and Lal Bahadur Mourya for their contribution to literature, Unani medicine and Urdu language.
The awards will be presented at the '' celebrations in Jaipur on Thursday.
