Wipro launches Mysore Centre

Mysore, Mar 16 (UNI) wipro, a leading provider of IT solutions and services, today announced the launch of its high-tech Global Service Management Centre (GSMC) here.

The facility would provide integrated service delivery across applications and infrastructure for India, Middle East and Asia Pacific customers and also act as a backup centre for global customers.

This newly-constructed centre had a current capacity of 400, capable of operating across three shifts and could be scaled up.

''This will be the nerve centre for providing seamless IT lifecycle services leveraging knowledge, tools and processes and measured through business impact metrics,'' Mr Thandava Murthy, Chief Executive, Professional Services, wipro told newspersons here today.

wipro President Suresh Vaswani said the integrated service delivery framework which leverages Wipro's globally acknowledged remote delivery capabilities had substantial advantages over traditional models in terms of service manageability, predictability, reliability and responsiveness. ''The service offerings are strongly differentiated and sets a new benchmark for services delivery to meet the ever growing business challenges of our customers,'' he added.

The GSMC was a state-of-the-art 26,000 sq ft facility located in Wipro campus here and assured the highest levels of security using methods such as Biometric Security Devices, Password Vaults and Data Encryption.

Twentyfour leading organisations were being serviced from GSMC.

They included marquee customers such as Maruti Udyog Ltd, Corporation Bank, Colgate Palmolive and OptiMix.
