Twelve physically challenged girls from 'Manthan' will perform ''ras garba'' and present papers at the World Gujarati Conference, 2006 in New Jersey next month.
Manthan is a home devoted to physically and mentally challenged girls and is situated in Kalol taluka of Gandhinagar district.
The three-day conference, to begin from September one, is being organised by the Association of Indian Americans of North America (AIANA) located at Edison in New Jersey, US.
The girls would leave on August 27, accompanied by managing trustee of Manthan Niruben Raval, secretary Girish Patel and advisor Vipin Trivedi.
The
objective
of
the
conference
is
to
provide
a
common
platform
to
some
30,000
Gujaratis
to
have
social
interaction
and
develop
business,
among
others,
a
statement
issued
here
said.
