All the single people out there, who have decided to remain single, consciously or otherwise, here is some news for you! As the title of this article says, you could be putting your health at risk.
Now, imagine a situation in which you are single and you are invited to a party where most of the people bring their partners.
Whether you like to admit it or not, looking at other people having a good time with their partners can surely make you feel rather lonely and disappointed.

In this modern era, the dynamics of a relationship has changed a lot and people, especially young people, try dating quite a lot before settling down for that special someone.
So, with dating, comes breakups and rejection, and so, a lot of people remain single for a long time, before finding someone they may want to spend their whole life with!
In some cases, many people may never find a 'soulmate', so they tend to remain single throughout their lives!

Now, there are two types of single people. The first category of single people do it by choice and may want to remain single for various reasons like, fear of commitment, disinterest in marriage and kids, busy professional life, disinterest in sex, etc.
The second category of single people are not single by choice, but it could be the circumstances that have made them single, for example, a spouse passing away, not able to find an ideal partner, bad relationships, insecurities, etc.

Whatever the reason may be for a person to remain single, it could definitely make them feel lonely, depressed and even sexually frustrated in the long run!

A group of researches at the University College Of London said that married people or people with stable partners have more opportunities to have social interactions at an older age, compared to single people, who tend to be isolated without a partner, after a certain age.
Engaging in social activities regularly post 50, can help keep your brain cells active and may encourage healthy habits, so people with stable partners have lesser chances of developing diseases like dementia and Alzheimer's.
So, in conclusion, single people are more likely to develop dementia, according to this London research study.
