This Common Filthy Habit Of Yours Will Invite More Bed Bugs! Read To Know
This one dirty habit can be inviting a lot of bed bugs to your dwelling! Read to know what attracts bed bugs.
Did you know that this one habit can actually attract bed bugs for eternity? Bed bugs are nasty creatures that we do not want to have in our dwelling at any cost.
If you ever leave your dirty clothes in a pile, then that is a haven for bed bugs.
In a study that was conducted, researchers put tote bags filled with clean clothes in a room with bed bugs. They also placed another bag with worn clothes in a bag.
After five days, they checked, which bags they preferred. They found that the bed bugs preferred the bag with worn clothes.

So, if you're living in a place where bed bugs are already lurking, then leaving your dirty clothes uncovered can attract the bugs for sure.
They can hitch a hide to your house and cause further infestation in your house.
Human odour is a cue for host-seeking bed bugs. If they don't find a human feast on, they'll head to something that smells of them instead.
They also conducted another part of the experiment. They pumped a room with carbon dioxide to stimulate a person's breathing to see if it affects the results in anyway.
This did not change the choice of bed that the bed bugs preferred. But it did bring out these creepy creatures from their refuge.
The findings suggested that the presence of a person in the room can spur the bed bugs into motion. If you're not around, they will look out the next best thing, which is your dirty clothes.

But you don't have to worry. You don't have to do your laundry when you're travelling. You just need to bring an extra bag with an air-tight seal and keep your designated dirty clothes inside that bag alone.
Study suggests that keeping dirty laundry in a sealed bag, particularly when staying in a hotel would cause people to take bed bugs along with them to home.
This will reduce the spread of infestations.
Here, we have also listed some of the useful tips to prevent them from reaching your house.
Never move your furniture from the curb-side or from a dumpster into your home.
Avoid moving second-hand furniture, especially a mattress or box string, into your home. You need to inspect rented furniture before accepting it into your home. Avoid renting bedroom furniture.

Upon returning home, leave your suitcase in the garage and machine wash and dry all clothing at high temperature or dry clean. Only then take your things inside again.
Do not take blankets, pillows or stuffed animals to hotels or other homes.
Vacuum weekly at minimum and discard bags or canister content outdoors.
Fit mattresses and box springs with encasing designed to prevent the movement of bed bugs in and out of the bed. If an encasement tears, it should be replaced immediately.
You need to understand that bed bugs just do not live in dirty places and are attracted to warmth, blood and carbon dioxide.
Bed bug control can only be maintained through a treatment strategy that includes many techniques as well as careful monitoring. Proper use of pesticides may be part of the strategy, but it will not eliminate itself completely.
