Do Your Hands Or Legs Shake? Here Are The Reasons Why It Happens
Shaky hands and legs are a common problem with a lot of people. Why does it happen? This articles discusses the reasons of tremors.
Do your hands or legs shake? Has such a phenomenon started recently or was it always there? Does it happen when you are feeling tired or get angry? Or may be some kind of illness has given birth to this shaky phenomenon.
Whatever be the reason, this shakiness in the hands or legs is a common symptom and is called"tremors" by medical experts. The reason for this shakiness can be quite varied.

Reasons
for
shakiness:
The
first
reason
of
this
shakiness
could
be
essential
tremor,
as
the
doctors
describe
it.
It
is
a
common
nervous
disorder
and
starts
in
the
hands
and
can
gradually
spread
to
other
parts
of
the
body,
including
arms,
legs
or
heads.
Even
the
voice
can
be
affected
by
this
shakiness.
Essential
tremors
are
said
to
affect
the
hands
when
one
is
on
the
move.
There
are
other
kinds
of
shakiness
that
take
place
when
one
is
stationary.

Essential tremor can occur because of genetic reasons, i.e., if any of the parents has this, one is likely to get affected as well. Essential tremor is not something which can threaten life but it can surely makeone suffer, especially by affecting the hands that are so vital for our everyday functioning.
Among other reasons for shaky hands or legs are environmental causes and age. People over 40 are more likely to get tremors though what exactly is the connection between tremors and external factors requires more research.

Shaky
hands
lead
to
Parkinson's
Disease:
Tremor
is
an
early
sign
of
Parkinson's
disease,
a
worldwide
disease.
It's
not
that
every
patient
of
Alzheimer's
has
the
problem
of
shakiness/tremor
but
most
patients
show
such
tendency
in
the
early
stages
of
the
problem.

Multiple
sclerosis:
This
is
a
disease
which
affects
the
immunity
system,
brain,
nerves,
etc.andcan
also
make
one's
hands
shaky.
Other
aspects
of
shaky
hands:
If
your
hand
is
shaking,
it's
not
that
you
are
invariably
ill.
Sometimes,
shakiness
could
be
a
response
to
things
like:

• Deficiency of Vitamin B12: A deficiency in Vitamin B12 can affect your nervous system and hence it is important to eat foods that contain this important vitamin like eggs, fish, milk products, etc.
• Drugs: All those medicines that block dopamine, an essential brain chemical, can lead to shakiness. The problem will cease to exist if you stop the medication.
• Damaged nerve: Damage to the nerve caused by an injury or disease can also make your hands and feet shake.
• Stress: Stress caused by hectic lifestyle and worry can also lead to tremors. Anger and sleep disorder can also cause tremors.
• Low blood sugar: This worsens the body's natural stress response and can makeone's hands shaky.
