Ayurveda Remedies To Increase Hemoglobin
According to an estimate by WHO, over 30 percent of the people worldwide are known to be suffering from anaemia. And most of these cases are caused by Iron deficiency.
Let's first understand what is anaemia?
Haemoglobin is a type of protein present in our RBC which is rich in iron. This protein has a very function - to transport oxygen from our lungs to different parts of the body and to carry C02 from our body back to lungs.

A healthy level of haemoglobin is very necessary to maintain proper functioning of our body.
It is 14-18 mg/dl in men and 12-16mg/dl in women. One may experience symptoms like fatigue, tiredness, short breath, pale skin, less appetite, and increased heart beat when the haemoglobin levels are low in the body.
If this haemoglobin level drops down significantly then the condition could be known as anaemia.
There could be several reasons behind the drop in haemoglobin levels in the blood - pregnancy, excessive periods, deficiency of folic acid, iron, vitamin b 12, frequent blood donation, bone marrow, cancer, and diseases of the digestive tract.
Ayurveda believes in harnessing the power of natural herbs to cure diseases. Here's a look at Ayurvedic herbs that can increase your haemoglobin levels in the blood.
