10 Times When You Should Avoid Alcohol
Alcohol is an all time favourite for many. The consumption of alcohol is so powerful that it can affect the entire body in a number of ways which includes the brain, nervous system, liver, heart, and the individual's emotional well-being.
Its side effects are directly related to the amount of alcohol ingested by the being. Experts state that drinking alcohol while on medication is not a good idea. If effects the strength of the medication and puts you in a lot of danger.
Likewise, consumption of alcohol on an empty stomach will give you an amazing aftermath feeling, but scientifically its not good for one's health as it burns the lining of the stomach giving rise to ulcers which are extremely painful.

During Pregnancy
Alcohol and pregnancy should never go hand in hand. There are a lot of effects it could have on the baby and therefore should be avoided by pregnant mothers.

Post Surgery
If you consume alcohol post surgery there are chances you will suffer from internal bleeding. In turn it will prevent the wound from healing as it slows down the process.

Before Surgery
Avoid alcohol before surgery. Doctors state that 2 to 3 weeks prior to the date of your surgery, alcohol should not be consumed.

When On Antibiotics
Though there are some medications which are safe with alcohol consumption it is better for you to avoid it. Antibiotics are least effective when mixed with alcohol.

If You're On Anticoagulants
Medications that help to thin the blood are called anticoagulants. Never consume alcohol with these type of medications as it can lead to internal bleeding and peptic ulcers too.

When Jet Lagged
One of the times you should avoid alcohol is when you're jet lagged. Instead of making you feel better, booze will worsens the effects of jet lag.

When Breastfeeding
Because alcohol passes through your breastmilk to your baby it is not advisable to drink. This is one of those time when you should avoid drinking alcohol.

Avoid It If On A Period
There are many women who turn to alcohol when on a period. Though it helps to deal with the menstrual pain, it is certainly not good for the blood flow as it increases pressure making you bleed more.

On An Empty Stomach
Don't be tempted to have a drink if you haven't yet eaten. It can cause peptic ulcers since it burns your stomach lining.

After Diarrhea
After suffering from this illness, drinking alcohol is not advisable since it can make you feel depressed and weaker.
