10 Bad Habits That Increase Stress Levels
Most often we hear about habits that are stress induced. As in, these are bad habits we develop because our stress levels are always high. For example, the habit of cursing without any concrete reason shows that you are very stressed. Then there is the habit of always shaking your leg when you are talking or even sitting.
However there are also some habits that increase stress. For example, lack of restful sleep shows bad sleep habits. Now you can always say that you cannot sleep because your stress levels are high. But the converse of this statement is also true. Not sleeping enough also increases your stress levels. Therefore, it is a case of who came first; the chicken or the egg.
Sometimes breaking out bad habits can help you reduce stress. Many health hazards are caused by stress. So to beat stress, you need to beat your habits first. Here are some bad habits that increase stress. It is not easy to change these habits but you can always try.

Being A Late Riser
Stress starts at the beginning of the day. If you wake up late, naturally your morning is rushed. First of all, you are worried that you will be late for work. So, you skip breakfast and drive at breakneck speed to office. It all contributes to making you stressed.

Becoming A Couch Potato
Most people believe that sitting in front of the television set is the best way to unwind. But it is not true. When you watch TV you are being dormant. It is no way relaxing you. Go out for a walk instead.

Smoking
All smokers vouch for the fact that smoking relaxes them. But scientific data suggests otherwise. Smoking increases your heart rate instantly so how on earth is it relaxing you?

Workaholic
It is good to love your work and be a performer. But you should know where to draw the line. Your health is more important than your work. If you get a heart attack due to stress then it will serve no purpose being the youngest CEO in your organisation.

Irregular Food Habits
As we all are so busy these days, we don't eat food at regular intervals. Eventually, you end up eating the wrong things. This makes you put on weight and adds to your stress levels.

Throwing Temper Tantrums
Do you think that shouting at your wife because you have pressure at work will help you relax? Of course it won't. You will just be reeling from your temper tantrums that cause you more stress.

Binge Eating
Many people feel that indulging in some comfort foods like desserts or fried snacks can be very relaxing. But unhealthy food has nothing to do with your stress levels. In the end, binge eating makes you fat and your stress levels remain the same.

Lack Of Exercise
Exercising is one of the best ways to relieve stress. Running, jogging and doing exercises helps you breathe deeply which a natural antidote for stress. Sloth will only make you more and more depressed.

No Time For Grooming
You need to spare some time for yourself to feel good. But most of us have time to go to salons and spas to unwind. And every time you see your unwaxed legs, you get more and more stressed.

Not Sleeping Enough
You need at least 7 hours of sleep every night. But many people sleep much lesser. As a result they have nagging headaches and a tired body. All this contributes to making you more stressed.
