Sleeping is the best thing in the world. It is a relaxation exercise to calm the mind and soul. Sleeping is good only if it is controlled. Sleeping should neither be in excess nor should be less. Lack of sleep can cause mood swings, irritation, dark circles and many other unwanted diseases. Similarly, a lot of sleep can have many ill effects on health.

You should always have a nice beauty sleep for healthy mind and skin. But the beauty sleep should not exceed more than 8 hours a day. As over eating can cause problems, over sleeping is also bad for health. Not only the time or number of hours you sleep is important, but also the time of day you sleep and where you sleep is also important.

Ill Effects Of Excessive Sleeping

Ill effects of oversleeping are many. Some are long term and some stay only for some time. Some ill effects of oversleeping cause physical troubles and some give psychological tribulations. The major effects observed due to oversleeping are:-

Head Ache - Oversleeping has a very bad and immediate ill effect that is a severe head ache. The head pain is similar to one you have when in a state of hangover. Oversleeping has this one ill effect which causes irritation and annoyance. At this time the best you could do to avoid the pain is eat something or have caffeine. If the pain still doesn't reduce than take a medicine.

Obesity - The ill effects of oversleeping in the long run is Obesity. Obesity is the state in which the body starts gaining a lot of weight. Oversleeping accumulates fat layers in the body. There is less movements of the body for a longer time, therefore the body fats do not get burnt and start accumulating. To avoid this ill effect from over sleeping, try exercising and making the fat burn. This will reduce your weight and make your body fit again.

Diabetes - It is proven that over sleeping might lead to Diabetes in the long run. It will increase your chances of getting Diabetes. The sugar level in the body increases if the sleeping habits are not proper. You must definitely avoid over sleeping if you already have Diabetic genes in you. This is one of the most ill effects of over sleeping. You should follow a sleep routine and sleep duration to avoid this ill effect of over sleeping.

Lack of concentration - Over sleeping makes the working process of brain slow. The brain cells do not activate and thus you can not give your complete concentration to your work. This is a short term effect but may cause a lot of problems in your daily life. Lack of concentration is a result of both over sleeping as well as lack of sleep. This can be avoided by proper sleep and if you have overslept for that particular day, you can activate your brain by a little energy booster like coffee.

Mood Fluctuations - Over sleeping can lead to annoyance, ignorance and irritation. You can feel annoyed and irritated by anything. For example, a little noise in your surroundings, somebody talking to you, your work and so on. You might also end up ignoring or forgetting important things.

From the above ill effects of over sleeping, you can conclude that you should always have a good time sleep but not excess sleep. Also avoid sleeping at irregular time and in irregular pattern.
