According to Smriti's manager, Tuhin Mishra, on the morning of the wedding, while final arrangements were in full swing at Mandhana farmhouse in Samdol, Srinivas Mandhana took ill during breakfast. The family hoped initially that it was a minor problem, but his condition began deteriorating rapidly. The family quickly summoned an ambulance and rushed him to a private hospital in Sangli for urgent care.

Medical Reports: Heart Attack and Current Condition

Various media reports indicate that Srinivas Mandhana has suffered a heart attack amidst the pre-wedding flurry. He is said to be under close observation by doctors at the hospital and is stable. Smriti's manager says he would remain under observation "until he recovers completely".

Smriti and Palash's wedding celebration had started days in advance, with Mehendi, Haldi, and Sangeet delighting friends and family, including some teammates from the Indian women's cricket team. But immediately after the health emergency, the family took the hard call to call off the ceremony. According to reports, Mandap decorations are being taken down and there is no confirmed date yet for rescheduling.

Smriti's Response and the Family's Appeal

Smriti Mandhana is very attached to her father, and her decision to postpone the wedding speaks volumes about how emotional she has been at this moment. Her manager stated that the family's utmost priority currently is her father's health and recovery. In their public communications, both families have requested privacy and understanding from fans and media alike.

This unexpected crisis has cast a sombre shadow over what was supposed to be a joyous celebration. For now, Smriti and Palash-and all others around them-wait, hope, and pray for the steady recovery of Srinivas Mandhana.
