Monounsaturated Fat
It is available in avocados and olive oil. It is necessary for healthy metabolism.

Omega-3 Fat
This type of fat is good for your brain. It also minimises the risk of Alzeimer's and heart disease too. It is available in fish like salmon and seeds like flaxseeds.

Saturated Fat
It is found in sources like meat and cheese. This type of fat is not too bad nor is it too good.

Polyunsaturated Fat
It is found in walnuts and canola oil. When you consume it in optimum amounts, it is good for health. It can reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes, heart disease and cholesterol issues.

Omega 6 Fatty Acids
Sources include sunflower oil and corn oil. Over consumption of this type of fat could cause inflammation and that could increase the risk of several other health issues.

Trans Fat
This type of fat could clog your arteries, affect your liver and also can directly contribute to heart disease. Margarine is one good example.

Medium Chain Triglycerides
This type of fat is unhealthy as it could increase the risk of heart issues. It is found in palm oil.
