When parts like your throat are infected and sore, it can be more difficult because, it can become extremely hard to eat, talk and even drink fluids, in extreme cases!
So, when you have a sore throat you may not even be able to take in enough water and nutrients, thus making you feel extremely tired and sick!
Usually, sore throat is a symptom of certain respiratory infections and disorders, and could be accompanied by other ailments like flu, cold, cough, etc.

Drink cold liquids! Yes, you read that right; drinking extra cold liquids when you have a sore throat can actually reduce the inflammation and numb the pain temporarily.

Avoid acidic foods like spicy gravies, oily foods, alcohol, etc., as acidity can actually irritate your throat and worsen the sore throat symptoms.

Taking antacids, even if the cause for your sore throat may not be acidity, can help reduce the inflammation in the throat, thus providing quick relief.

You can also drink turmeric tea, every morning, when you have a sore throat, as the anti-inflammatory property of turmeric can soothe your throat and can also reduce the congestion.
