Psyllium husk is a type of soluble fiber derived from the seeds of the Plantago ovata plant. It's been used for decades to treat constipation, lower cholesterol, and support gut health. But thanks to its gel-forming ability that expands in your stomach, it's now gaining fame for mimicking satiety-making you feel full faster and longer.
No wonder it's being compared to drugs like Ozempic (semaglutide), which also work by slowing digestion and curbing hunger. But unlike injections, psyllium is natural, affordable, and widely available. Still, that doesn't mean it comes without warnings.

Psyllium husk deserves its moment in the wellness spotlight-but not as a miracle cure. It works best when combined with balanced eating, hydration, and mindful habits. If you're consistent, patient, and aware of the risks, it can absolutely support your weight-loss and gut-health goals.
