Garlic is a part of home remedies since long. It contains antibiotic and antimicrobial agents that speed up wound recovery process.
Garlic is a natural antibiotic and can be helpful in treating both external wounds and internal wounds.
It works well by reducing the infection. It also boosts immunity and helps in the healing process. Here are some tips to follow to heal wounds using garlic.

First Step: Grate Garlic
If the wound is an external one, first wash it carefully using some water. Grate 15 cloves of garlic and add a few drops of water to make it into a paste.

Second Step: Use A Gauze
Get a sterile gauze and smear the garlic paste on it. Carefully apply the gauze on the wound.

Third Step: Dress The Wound
Get a bandage and use it on the gauze so that it doesn't move. Leave it for 1-2 days. Garlic contains infection-fighting abilities. Even your pain might gradually come down after some time.

Fourth Step: Replace The Gauze
After 2 days, gently remove the gauze and carefully wash the wound with water. Clear the old garlic paste present on the wound. Place a fresh gauze with more garlic paste smeared on it and use a new bandage for dressing. Remove it after 2 days and by that time, the wound and infection will be gone.

What If You Can't Handle Garlic?
For some people, garlic may give burning sensation when it is applied on skin. If that is the case with you, simply apply turmeric paste on the wound and drink a glass of turmeric milk. This will work like an antiseptic and also speeds up the wound healing process.

What If You Are Allergic To Turmeric?
Use honey to treat the wound. The enzymes present in honey can reduce infection and speed up wound healing. Simply apply a few drops of honey on the affected area. After an hour wash it carefully with water.

Caution
If you are allergic to any of the ingredients then refrain from using home remedies to heal wounds. Consult a doctor immediately.
