Home Remedies To Treat Excess Uric Acid In Men
What is uric acid? It is a waste product excreted from the body via urine. And where does it come from? Purines. Purines are manufactured in the human body and are also found in certain foods. These purines break down to form uric acid. Most people are equipped to deal with the excretion of the uric acid but many are not. They either produce too much uric acid or their system is not well-equipped to excrete.
This leads to the accumulation of uric acid in different parts of the body, particularly toe joints and wrist joints, leading to the problem of gout. Such people require treatment for excess uric acid.
There are medicines available to treat excesses uric acid and the troubles related to it. However, home remedies are equally effective. One of the common discomforts due to excess uric acid is gout.
This excess uric acid accumulates in needle like crystals in between joints leading to inflammation and pain. Age-old methods tell us how to treat excess uric acid in men.

Mustard oil and camphor:
Take one cup of mustard oil and add 10 grams of camphor to it. Heat the oil till the camphor dissolves. When lukewarm, apply this oil on the affected areas.

Lime drink:
Squeeze the juice of half a lime in one glass of water. Drink this twice a day. The citric acid present in lime helps dissolve the uric acid.

Ice pack:
Applying ice packs on the affected areas provides relief. This, however, is only a temporary treatment.

Baking soda drink:
Dissolve half a teaspoon of baking soda in one cup of water. Consume a maximum of eight cups of this baking soda water in a day. This treatment helps to dissolve the uric acid crystals and increases the solubility of uric acid. When taking this treatment, make sure to go on a salt-free diet as baking soda is very high in sodium.

Apple cider vinegar:
In a glass of water, add one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar. Consume it two to three times a day for relief. You can increase the quantity of apple cider vinegar from one to two teaspoons.

Ginger root:
You can add ginger root to your daily cooking to derive its benefits. The anti-inflammatory properties in ginger give relief against pain and inflammation. Another remedy would be to mix equal amounts of fenugreek powder, turmeric powder and dry ginger powder. Take one teaspoon of this mix with warm water daily.

Have fibre-rich foods:
Having foods high in fibre assists in the absorption of uric acid. It helps in keeping it under control.

Cherries:
Fruits are good for the body but cherries are particularly good to treat and control high uric acid level. It would be good if you could start your day with cherries.
Home treatment for excess uric acid can relieve the discomfort without any medication. But to be on
the safe side, it would be best to take precautionary methods.
