Products with detailed are picked up more from the shelves than those without the label. Though consumers tend to buy products with a brand name, a label indicating the nutritional value in it is much more preferred.

A team of researchers headed by Maria Loureiro from the University of Santiago de Compostela and the Centre for Agro-Food Research and Technology, Aragón examined the nutritional labelling of breakfast biscuits. The team made 1,600 observations that included multiple choice questions so that people could choose a product for its attributes.
