Radhika Merchant Wore Her Sister Anjali's Heirloom Necklace At Her Wedding, Adds Sentimental Touch!
The wedding of Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani, which brought together the elite of business, entertainment, and politics, was the height of extravagance and tradition. In addition to its exquisite beauty, Radhika's bridal ensemble, a custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga stood out for its profound meaning and antique jewellery, which gave her bridal look an aura of legacy.
Scroll down to get the details of the family heirloom piece that accentuated Radhika Merchant Ambani's bridal avatar.

Gujarati Panetar Lehenga
The Gujarati Panetar tradition, which involves brides wearing red and white, was beautifully interpreted in Radhika's lehenga. A 5-meter head veil, a tissue shoulder dupatta, a blouse, and a trailing ghagra layered with a second detachable trail were all part of this ensemble, which was a masterpiece of Zardozi cut-work. The three crimson borders that graced the ghagra were painstakingly hand-embroidered using Zardozi, Saadi, and Naqshi techniques. A layer of rich detail was added to the ensemble by the intricate floral boots embellished with sequins, stones, Tamba tikkis, and touches of red Resham.
Her bridal veil was exquisite, with jaali and cut-work, and the detachable trail was an 80-inch Zardozi masterpiece. The highly embroidered crimson shoulder dupatta, which matched the silhouette flawlessly, added drama to the ensemble. The lehenga was a suitable choice for such a formal event because of its exquisite craftsmanship and traditional features.

Heirloom Jewellery
Radhika's decision to don family jewellery that has been passed down through the generations in the Merchant family elevated the sentimental significance of her bridal ensemble. Among these was a choker worn by her mother and grandparents at their marriages, as well as a stunning polki set that featured earrings, a mang tika, and a haath phool. Her sister Anjali Merchant previously wore this set at her 2020 wedding. Radhika's bridal attire was made even more memorable by the affection and tradition of these accessories!
Apart from the ancestral jewels, Radhika accessorized herself with an exquisite necklace made of diamonds and emeralds, kadas, bangles, and Kaleeras, all of which brought a modern touch of sophistication to her traditional dress. A bridal appearance that was both singular and incredibly personal, harmonious and regal, was produced by fusing the old and the new, tradition and modernity.
Family Jewellery Significance
Donning heirloom jewellery embodies the values of tradition, family, and continuity and signifies a strong link to one's past. Every object has sentimental and historical value, which shows respect for the past and a desire to preserve family traditions and recollections. Beyond simple ornamentation heirloom jewellery becomes a priceless inheritance that is passed down through the years and represents love, tenacity, and the enduring beauty of familial ties.
Radhika Merchant and Anant Ambani's wedding served as a showcase for lavish dress, illustrious family history, and rich customs. Radhika's custom Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga wonderfully captured the grandeur and elegance of Gujarati bridal traditions, and her decision to wear antique jewellery was a heartfelt nod to her family's history. Radhika's wedding attire will always be remembered for its unique fusion of heritage, tradition, and modern style!
