The Barbie doll is interlinked with fashion. Little girls who own at least one Barbie doll have the creative freedom to dress her up the way they want to! Over the years, Barbara, the Mattel Inc-made doll encouraged girls across the globe to experiment with Barbie's style at some stage of their lives.

No matter how old Barbie is (since 1959 and counting), she remains stylish and fabulous! And now Barbie and her dreamy world will soon be experienced by her admirers on a big screen. Actors Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling starrer Barbie movie is all set to release on 21 July 2023. The real-life Barbie and her cast have embarked on exclusive promotional tours to give insights about the comedy narrative movie!

Margot Robbie with her stylist Andrew Mukamal nailed the thematic dressing with ensembles that were previously featured on the doll. Thanks to Barbie, the Barbiecore style is trending and giving more power to 'pink' as a hue!

Corset Dress

Margot Robbie looked chic in a red corset dress designed by Dilara Findikoglu. The designer ensemble was inspired by the "Brunette Bubble Cut" Barbie, 1962. The off-shoulder fitted corset dress featured a sharp hemline and satin-like appeal. Margot accessorized the mini dress with a matching drawstring handbag and red heels. Her makeup was kept natural with just a hint of red for the lips and styled her tresses in a mid-parted-up bun with loose tendrils!

Patterned Minidress

It's no exaggeration but Margot is living the life of a much-loved Mattel doll. Margot graced a media event in Mexico in a pattered Emilio Pucci minidress in pink (of course)! She elevated the fun outfit with hot-pink colour drop earrings by Chanel, a baby pink tone quilted purse, and hot-pink Manolo Blahnik pumps. Too much pink you think? Not when you are a Barbie!

Skirt Top Set

The reel Barbie took a classic style route by opting for a vintage skirt top set by Vivianne Westwood! The salmon pink ensemble included a button-up blouse with a piping border design in a deep red tone and a matching short skirt. Margot opted for an interesting set of accessories including a fur mini suitcase-style handbag and matching box heels. With sparkly stud earrings, glossy makeup, and a side-swept wavy hairdo, Margot reminded me of a classic 70s-style Barbie doll!

Crystal Frock

For Barbie, one can never have enough crystals! From outfits to accessories, crystals as an embellishment makes everything sparkly and fabulous! Margot Robbie followed the style rule and opted for a typical Barbie look by wearing a crystal-embellished short dress by Versace. Her metallic-tone outfit was inspired by the 1985 Day to Night edition of Barbie. The chosen outfit included a figure-hugging corset-style bodice and a frilled skirt. She completed the shiny pink-tone ensemble with a pink crystal handbag by Versace and a matching ruby ring!

Polka Dot Dress

Polka print is synonymous with retro fashion and when Barbie flaunts it then she got to keep it pink and pretty! For one of the Barbie press tours, Ms Robbie wore a cross-strap polka dot print short dress. Once Upon A Time In Hollywood movie star added a touch of fun and drama to the outfit with soft yellow tone pearl jewellery, yellow sling bag, and white pointed heels!

Pink Satin Gown

Margot Robbie's London Premier look of Barbie was inspired by Enchanted Evening Barbie in 1996. She looked every inch of a doll in a pink satin gown from the house of Vivianne Westwood! Her powerful pink outfit included some classic design details like an embroidered tulle trim at the shoulders, fabric flower at the waist and a floor-grazing train at one side. She added more drama to this glamorized outfit with white opera gloves and peal jewellery!

Black Sequin Dress

Did Barbie ditch pink? Well, apparently yes! Margot Robbie, the reel Barbie featured a chic look in a black sequin gown by Schiaparelli. The designer outfit was inspired by the Solo in the Spotlight Barbie doll from 1960! She accentuated the designer dress with black opera gloves, Manolo Blahnik peep-toe heeled mules and diamond jewellery by Lorraine Schwartz. But Barbie being Barbie can't be kept away from pink ever. So Margot ensured to flaunt a pink tulle scarf just to add something pink to the all-black ensemble!
