Paush Amavasya 2025: Do These Most Powerful Rituals For Closure On The Final Amavasya Of The Year
13 Reasons Why: Fashion Analysis Of Veer Zaara On Its 13th Anniversary
Summing up thirteen reasons why Veer Zaara's style facts are remarkable as the movie celebrates its 13th Anniversary.
Yash Chopra shall always be remembered for many of his works including the legendary love story Veer Zaara. The movie completes 13 years of release and still now it is considered to be a historic movie released under the Yash Raj Films banner.
Apart from the storyline or the performances, another thing which created a mark in people's hearts was the amazing attires and ornaments used in the movie. This was Manish Malhotra's one of the first movies as a fashion designer and he created magic through his works.
As the movie reaches its 13th year of release, we have jotted down 13 reasons why this movie will always be iconic for setting such amazing traditional style amalgamation between India and Pakistan.

Ornamented Attires
In the movie, mainly the female characters wore some amazing attires which suggest the traditional and coordinated Punjabi and Mughal styles. Preity Zinta and Hema Malini wore some really gorgeous stone and crystal embossed ornamented attires. We particularly loved Preity aka Zaara's attire in the song "Main Yaha Hu Yahaan".

Bridal Wear
Zaara had given us wedding attire goals through her looks in the movie. In the movie, she wears a vibrant crimson coloured Patiala for her wedding which actually enthralled us and during the time of release, many women went up to their tailors and designers to get a similar style book for their wedding.
The gorgeous actress carried her bridal attire like a diva. We particularly loved the circular flounce hemline of her bottoms.

Vibrant Colours
Manish certainly loves playing with colours and especially playing it according to the theme of the narration and background. The actors had colourful changes in their attires for the mustard field, the ice-capped mountains, the sugarcane fields and every other colourful location. We have seen such a rendition of colours used by Manish again in Kabhi Alvidaa Naa Kehena.
Along with colours we also saw a vibrant collection of handloom work on the attires.

Floral Embroidery
In the movie, we saw some super gorgeous collection of floral embroidery work done on Preity Zinta's style books in the movie. The colour combination in the embroidery was remarkable. Not just the attires, there was floral embroidery work done even on the bags which were used as props.

Chikankari
The floral embroidery was already stunning us, while we also had our eyes on the chikankari kurta Preity wore for one of her style books in the movie. The white kurta had chikankari work, mainly on the sleeves and also the body. It was astounding!

Sequin Zari Borders
For all the women of the movie, it has been shown how sequin zari borders were used since that era of the storyline. The glittery zari borders have always been a thing for traditional rituals including Muslim weddings. The age-old traditional style has been shown in this movie.

Back Cuts
If you are not amazed by the costume designs in the movie, you shall go back and watch the movie again to see all the back cuts used for the blouses and kurtas for the actress' looks. Especially for Preity, her blouse designs and kurta back designs are amazing and also hot.

Jewellery
All the jewellery used in the movie and especially the ones Preity aka Zara was seen donning throughout the movie have surely stunned you by now. If they still did not drag you to the jewellery shop to get similar designs, you should again watch the movie. It would be a treat to your eyes, all over again.
Apart from all the accessories worn by Preity, we specifically loved her bridal ornaments. Preity also showed us how normal and basic jewellery can make your look more vibrant when mixed with the bright coloured attires.

Nose Pins
We had our eyes mainly on a few accessories, nose pins being one. We all have crushed over Preity's variant nose pins from the movie, haven't we? If you have nose pin style fetish, you should again go and watch the movie and rush to the nearest store to get similar designs.

Bangles
While maintaining the Patiala and Sharara tradition, we also saw Preity Zinta and others wearing matching 'chudiyaan' or bangles. The glass and silver bunch of bangles caught every eye and they surely did make Preity prettier in the traditional avatars.

Earrings
Preity and the other actors in the movie wore some amazing dangling earrings for the movie. The earrings have already stolen our hearts and if you want to drool over them all over again, we would surely encourage you for watching the movie not just once more but again and again.

SRK And Others
The main lead opposite Preity wore some amazing attires as the army person and also the denim casuals. We also saw him in kurta while dancing in the 'Lodi' song along with Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini. Both the veterans too were pretty well dressed.
We were also amazed by Rani Mukerji's sober and ethereal looks being the lawyer and also Manoj Bajpayee who carried his classic Sherwanis pretty well.

The Side Dancers And Extras
While the lead cast already stunned us with their style books, we also did not fail to notice the amazing colourful attires worn by the extras or the side dancers. If you see all the wide angle views of the movie that have got too many people around, you have definitely found out how colourful and compatible their style books were which made the frames more vibrant.
