Italian Meatballs: A Yummy Snack
Italian meatballs is actually a yummy snacks recipe. This is one of the most popular Italian recipe that you can try. The flavours of the Italian meatballs recipe is very succulent due to the cheese used in it. Italian recipes as such are replete with a host of flavours. Herbs like oregano is used for this recipe. All the cheese, herbs and spices used for the Italian meatballs recipe will give you a heavenly experience.
You can either use chicken or mutton. Here we will use mutton for this Italian meatballs. The most awesome part in trying Italian recipes as such is that they can be easily made. Here is one of the easiest mutton recipes for making Italian meatballs.

Ingredients
For The Italian Meatballs
- Mutton- 500 grams
- Egg- 1
- Breadcrumbs- 1½ cups
- Oregano- 2tsp
- Parsley- 2tbsp (finely chopped)
- Black Pepper Powder- 2tsp
- Garlic Paste- 1½ tsp
- Milk- ½ cup
- Parmesan Cheese- ¼ cup
- Ricotta Cheese- ¼ cup
- Salt- To taste
- Vegetable Oil- 1 cup
For The Sauce
- Tomatoes- 2 cups (finely chopped)
- Green Chillies- 2 (finely chopped)
- Garlic- 3 pods
- Parsley- 2tbsp (finely chopped)
- Capsicum- ¼ cup(finely chopped)
- Salt- To taste
- Vegetable/ Olive Oil- 2tbsp
Procedure
- Pressure cook the mutton for 3-4 whistles on a high flame and keep aside.
- Take the mutton in a large bowl and add the eggs in it. Now add the breadcrumbs, oregano, parsley, black pepper powder, garlic paste, milk, parmesan cheese, ricotta cheese and some salt to taste. Mix all the ingredients well. Keep them aside.
- Now take a frying pan and add 2tbsp of vegetable or olive oil. Add the chopped onions and fry until brown.
- Then add the tomatoes, green chillies, garlic, parsley, capsicum and salt to it. Fry for 2-3 minutes on a low flame and then take off. Let it cool and then make a fine paste of it in the mixer. Keep the sauce aside.
- Take the meat mixture now and make small balls out of it.
- Put a frying pan over the gas oven on a medium flame. Add a cup of vegetable oil and deep fry all the meatballs one by one. Strain the extra oil and keep aside.
- Place all the meatballs in a plate and pour the sauce over it. Your Italian meatballs are now ready to be savoured.
Serve the meatballs hot. You can garnish it with some chopped parsley and black pepper powder.
