Exclusive: Hazards Of Using Synthetic Holi Colours, Doctor-Approved Tips On How To Protect Your Skin, Hair
It's time to celebrate Holi, the festival of colors. However, many overlook the fact that the colours they use can be hazardous and harmful to their skin, especially if they are synthetic and not natural. Synthetic colours, widely available, can trigger allergic reactions on the skin and persist under nails and behind ears for weeks.
In an interview with Boldsky, Dr Deepthi T N, Dermatology Consultant at Kinder Hospital, explains the hazards of using synthetic colors on Holi and what you must do instead to ensure your hair and skin remain healthy, post celebrations.

Impact of Holi Colours on Health: Skin and Hair Effects
Synthetic colors are often made from chemicals that can cause a range of issues, from mild irritation to more serious health concerns. They can also penetrate hair strands, causing dryness and frizz. Opting for natural, vegetable-derived colors is recommended as they are easier to remove, says Dr Deepthi.
